Who might I be a good fit for?
You may be navigating a change, feeling stuck in a relationship, or trying to find a little more room for yourself in a busy life. I especially enjoy working with women, high achievers, and people who are learning to set boundaries, use their voice, or make their own well-being more of a priority. I also welcome people who are new to therapy or who have tried it before and haven’t quite found the right fit.
What concerns do people commonly bring?
I often work with young adults and adults on anxiety, self-esteem, perfectionism, shame, and depression. I also have experience supporting those affected by someone else’s substance use challenges or mental health concerns.
Many of the people I work with are navigating relationships with partners, friends, or family, along with stress, life transitions, boundaries, and self-care. Sometimes people come in feeling lost or stuck without being entirely sure why. You may even wonder whether what you’re going through is “big enough” for therapy. It doesn’t have to be. Sometimes simply wanting things to feel different is a good place to begin.
How do I tend to support people?
Relationships are an important part of how I work, and I want therapy to feel collaborative rather than one-sided. We might look at something from a new perspective, learn more about why certain patterns develop, or find practical ways to respond differently. I use a person centered and cognitive behavioral approach. I also practice culturally responsive therapy and am dedicated to ongoing humility, reflection, and uplifting care. I bring a trauma-informed perspective and will gently challenge you when it feels helpful and you’re open to it. I can also offer resources, referrals, and coordination with other healthcare providers when that would support the work we’re doing together.
What might it feel like to work with me?
I’m warm, empathetic, down-to-earth, genuine, and not afraid to bring some humor into the room. I want our conversations to feel safe and accepting, with space to say what you’re really thinking without worrying about being judged. Over time, I hope we build the kind of trust that allows you to feel supported while also exploring new possibilities for yourself. And sometimes, I hope you simply leave feeling a little lighter than when you came in.
